Our Story
Where Afghan Hospitality Meets Texas BBQ
Cue Point was born from two obsessions: the slow-cooked, smoke-kissed tradition of Texas BBQ, and the bold, generous spirit of Afghan hospitality. The result is something London had never tasted before.
The Beginning
How It Started
Cue Point opened in Notting Hill with a simple idea: take the best of two great food cultures and cook them over live fire. Afghan cuisine, with its saffron rice, charred flatbreads, pomegranate-laced salads, and slow-braised meats, sits alongside Texas-style smoked brisket, beef ribs, and pulled meats in a way that just works.
The name comes from the idea of a cue point, a moment of transition, a pivot. That's what this place is. A pivot away from the ordinary. A space where a garden bar in West London becomes the setting for a feast that could have been cooked in Kabul or Austin.
We're based at 41 Bramley Road, Notting Hill, a corner of West London that's always had an appetite for something different. The garden bar, the smokehouse, the open kitchen. It's all here.
What We Stand For
The Cue Point Way
Live Fire, Always
Everything we cook is touched by fire. The smokehouse runs all day. The grill never goes cold. We believe the best food is cooked slowly, over real heat, with real wood.
Afghan Hospitality
In Afghan culture, feeding people is an act of love. You don't hold back. You pile the table high. You make sure everyone leaves full and happy. That's the spirit we bring to every service.
Halal, Always
All our meats are halal. Always have been, always will be. We also take vegetarian and vegan cooking seriously. Our plant-based dishes are built with the same care as everything else on the menu.
West London, Proudly
We're a Notting Hill restaurant. We're part of this neighbourhood. We hire locally, source locally where we can, and we're proud to be a venue that the community actually uses.
Come and Eat With Us
The best way to understand Cue Point is to sit down, order a feast, and let the food do the talking. We're open Tuesday to Sunday.
